Before you register:
By completing this form, you are registering your interest in attending the Cranston Inquiry public hearings.
- You are requesting a seat in the public gallery of the Cranston Inquiry Hearing Room.
- You can use this form to request a seat for one person. Only the named person on the booking will be permitted to use the reservation.
- Space is limited within the Hearing Room and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- It may not be possible for all who register to be seated in the Hearing Room. The Inquiry will make efforts to accommodate attendance, but some registered attendees may be offered seats in the Media Room instead, where proceedings will be livestreamed.
- All attendees should report to the reception desk at Juxon House on arrival.
- You will receive an email confirming your reservation.
- If you are unable to attend, please cancel in advance by emailing hearings@cranston.independent-inquiry.uk.

Data policy
- What we use your data for: Your information will be used to confirm your seat reservation when you arrive at the hearing centre. Your information may be shared with third parties in order to provide psychological support services upon your request., If the hearing venue has to be evacuated for emergency purposes your name (no other details) will be shared with the Inquiry and venue security personnel, and/or emergency services, for this purpose.
- What personal information will be collected: The name of the attendee, their email address, the name of the person making the booking (if applicable), the organisation, the email address of the person making the booking (if relevant), the attendee’s accessibility requirements.
- What is our lawful basis for using your information: Where we process personal data provided by you, the legal basis for processing that personal data is because the user consents to us doing so (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. Where we process sensitive personal data, such as medical data for special access requirements, the legal basis is your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)). Your consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- How long is your personal information stored: 3 months
- Where is your personal information stored: As your personal data is stored on our IT infrastructure, and shared with our data processors, it may be transferred and stored securely outside the UK. Where that is the case it will be subject to equivalent legal protection through an adequacy decision, or the use of appropriate contractual documents, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement. Paper documents used to record your visit will be destroyed at the end of each day.
What are my rights? - You have the right to request information about how your personal data are processed, and to request a copy of that personal data.
- You have the right to request that any inaccuracies in your personal data are rectified without delay.
- You have the right to request that any incomplete personal data are completed, including by means of a supplementary statement.
- You have the right to request that your personal data are erased if there is no longer a justification for them to be processed.
- You have the right in certain circumstances (for example, where accuracy is contested) to request that the processing of your personal data is restricted.
- You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
- Your rights may be subject to exemptions or limitations. Requests are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Code of conduct
- We understand that the subject matter of this Inquiry will be emotionally challenging for many. We would encourage anyone that is affected by any of the issues raised by the Inquiry reach out to a relevant support organisation
.Emotional support will be available to visitors attending hearings from Hestia. We expect all visitors to be considerate and respectful of others. - Devices with recording or filming capabilities including mobile phones are not permitted to be used in the hearing room.
